Committee Goals
The Health Sciences campus at ECU educates professionals to serve various populations for health & wellness promotion and reduction of health disparities. Therefore, an important focus of the Health Sciences Culture and Engagement Committee is promotion and celebration of all people and the cultures they represent as a core value and asset to the health professions.
The Health Sciences Committee goals are to:
- Goal 1: Document programming, activities, and resources within the Health Sciences campus to promote and celebrate cultural similarities and differences.
- Goal 2: Identify and promote best practices that provide students, staff and faculty in Health Sciences Units opportunities to explore culture in health care
- Goal 3: Identify and promote culture-relatedprograms
- Goal 4: Identify & promote inter- and intra-campus collaborations which promote health & wellness and the reduction of health disparities.
