To improve the quality of health through leadership, excellence, and innovation in the delivery of progressive baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral, and continuing education programs, providing professional and clinical services and conducting basic, clinical and applied research.

Facts and Distinctions
The interdisciplinary College of Allied Health Sciences educates the fastest-growing sector of the health care work force, including physical and occupational therapists, physician assistants, audiologists, dietitians, counselors, medical technologists, and health information managers.
As of Fall 2022, the college had grown to over 1,400 students enrolled in its degree programs. There are more than 560 graduate students across the college and over 65 in graduate certificate programs.
Students from Allied Health disciplines routinely achieve first-time pass rates well above the national average on professional licensing exams. The majority of students are employed prior to or within six months of graduation, more than half practice in Eastern North Carolina, and just over 70 percent of graduates live in North Carolina.
Faculty and students provide patient care and gain real-world experience through the Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic, the Navigate Counseling Clinic, and a physical therapy clinic.

900+ meals prepared and delivered by Nutrition Science undergraduate students enrolled in their Quantity Foods Lab
