Diversity Goals
The Health Sciences campus at ECU educates diverse professionals to serve diverse populations for health promotion and reduction of health disparities. Therefore, an important focus of the Health Sciences Diversity Commission is promotion and celebration of diversity as a core value and asset to the health professions.
The Health Sciences Commission goals are to:
- Goal 1: Document diversity & diversity-related programs, committees, activities and resources within the Health Sciences campus
- Goal 2: Identify and promote best practices that provide students, staff and faculty in Health Sciences Units opportunities to explore diversities in health care
- Goal 3: Identify and promote diversity programs
- Goal 4: Promote inter- and intra-campus diversity collaborations
