Good News from US News Ranking

Talking to young students

Friends,

Earlier today we received word of the newest US News and World Report rankings for graduate programs across the country. I’m not surprised at the strong showing of many of our programs because I see the work that happens day in and day out, here in our classrooms and labs, and in the reports that I get of the successes our students achieve during clinical placements.

What I am hearted by is that our peers, who participated in a peer assessment of Allied Health programs nationwide, are proving to the wider public how impactful we are, and how much of a benefit our graduates will be to North Carolina after graduation.

This is how our programs ranked, among other from across the nation:

  • Audiology – 45 of 74
  • Occupational therapy – 39 of 282
  • Physician assistant – 58 of 206
  • Physical therapy – 65 of 264
  • Rehabilitation counseling – 33 of 80
  • Speech language pathology – 65 of 283

To our faculty, thank you for all that you do each day to mold the future members of your professions. To our staff, you know these rankings couldn’t happen without you. To our students, thank you for choosing East Carolina University for your graduate education. To our alumni and supporters, we hope that you can take pride in the recognition our College has received with these rankings.

Best Regards.
