2024 CAHS Student Research Day
Submit Your Abstract
The College of Allied Health Sciences Research Committee welcomes your abstract for our 8th annual Student College Research Day, to be held on April 24th, 2024 (Reading Day). Abstracts are due 3/20/2024.
Abstracts
Abstracts should be a maximum of 350 words in length, not including title, authors, and affiliations. Abstracts will be used by the CAHS Research Committee for the purpose of organizing sessions and will not be published. Preliminary findings are encouraged. You can submit your abstracts for a poster or oral presentation format.
Multiple Choice Question *new for 2024
For the CAHS Game Show Event, you will need to include a multiple-choice question aimed at the take home message of your presentation.
Poster Presentations
Poster sessions will be organized based on subject matter with an emphasis on health care topics.
Oral Presentations
Each presentation should be 8 minutes in length. Please email questions to Matthew Walenski, PhD at walenskim21@ecu.edu.

Please join us for the first Spring Semester College of Allied Health Sciences Faculty Research Sharing Presentation. The CAHS Research Committee will be hosting several sharing presentations throughout this academic year.

These presentations are an opportunity to learn about the different research and scholarship happening in CAHS…. The populations involved, the successes and challenges and the outcomes and impact of the research done. These are also opportunities to identify potential collaborators! Bring a friend, invite a student, and join us!

2024 Annual Emotional Well-Being (EWB) Investigator Meeting
“The National Institutes of Health (NIH) welcomes researchers and the public to attend the livestreamed open session to learn about six EWB research networks and their efforts to advance the science of EWB, and to discuss remaining research gaps and opportunities. In addition, Eric Garland, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor, University of Utah will present the keynote titled, “Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement Builds Emotional Well-being by Restructuring Reward, Meaning, and Self.” The meeting allows ample time for participants to submit questions to the speakers.
This meeting is supported by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).”
