Kudos to Dr. Meardon!
Dr. Stacey Meardon, Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, was awarded the 2021 AASPT Best Research Abstract in Sports Physical Therapy Award.
Dr. Meardon’s abstract “Gait modification effects on subject-specific tibia stress during running in males and females” was selected (along with a few others, from hundreds submitted) to submit a longer “paper”. These papers were then “scored in several categories including significance, innovation, quality of the methods, and relevance and importance to sports physical therapy”. Her work was the final winner of this award.
