Congratulations Dr. Stage!

Congratulations to Dr. Virginia Stage, Associate Professor within the Department of Nutrition Science. Dr. Stage serves as the PI on a newly funded SEPA grant from the NIH for her project “More Peas Please! Building a Partnership for Science Education with Teachers and Underrepresented Minority Preschool Children.”

The overall aim of Dr. Stage’s research is to focus on childhood overweight prevention by influencing teachers’ food and nutrition education strategies when working with children (birth-5 years) and their families. The awarded NIH grant will be used to create a focus on science education with teachers and underrepresented minority preschool children.
