Congratulations Dr. Perry!
The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research has awarded Dr. Jamie Perry, Dr. Brad Sutton (University of Illinois) and Dr. Jonghye Woo (Mass General Hospital) an R01 grant for their collaborative project, “Using Atlas-driven Imaging for Determining Variations in Velopharyngeal Function Among Children with Cleft Palate and Hypernasal Speech”.
This grant will fund the investigation of atlas-driven imagining in order to determine physiological variations among children with cleft palate and hypernasal speech. The overall aim of Dr. Perry’s research is to improve the current understanding of anatomical correlates of speech production, relating to individuals with and without cleft palate.
Dr. Perry was also recently named Fellow to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for her outstanding contributions to the discipline of communication sciences and disorders. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the Association bestows.
