Our Mission, Goals, and Values

PeARL Cerebral Palsy Research Group
The mission of Pediatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Laboratory (PeARL) is to enhance function of children with neuromotor disabilities such as cerebral palsy (CP). The primary research goals of the PeARL are to investigate brain structure and function relationship, neurological and mechanical contributors of movement dysfunction, and the effects of different interventions to improve functional outcomes in children with CP. The PeARL uses various cutting-edge neuroimaging, biomechanical, behavioral, and clinical assessments to identify movement dysfunction, and novel interventions to treat those dysfunctions. Our core value encompasses combining science with humanity. Our team embraces diversity, inclusion, and treat everyone equally.
