The NeuroMuscular Physiology Laboratory Mission

To determine underlying mechanisms contributing to age-related loss of function, and to translate these findings into interventions to improve human healthspan.

The mission of the Graber NeuroMuscular Physiology Laboratory is to utilize basic science approaches in model organisms to determine molecular mechanisms contributing to age-related deterioration of muscle and physical function, and use reverse translation/translation to develop potential therapeutics to alleviate functional decline with the goal of improving quality of life while sustaining independence in older adults.
